Split Them All
Split Them All | ||
Bio: | Split Them All is a music project by Ivan Matveev — bassist and sound producer. Influenced by old school electronic, kraut- and space-rock, tracks always have solid foundation of live drums and bass guitar with dynamic analog (and also not so analog) synths and spacey guitars over them. Tracks 'Laika Beyond the Infinite' and 'Cosmic Sketch' were recorded as a devotion to the revolutionary and pioneering 60’s space era so that listeners could dive into an atmosphere of a space flight as it was imagine by sci-fi authors back then. Ivan claims that he learned a lot from 60-70s music: Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Motown label artists, NEU, Kraftwerk, as well as being influenced by French artists such as Air, Daft Punk and Stereolab and Russian electronic musician and composer Eduard Artemyev. Over the past few years Ivan has been working on minimalistic soundtracks for three short movies by the Israeli director and script writer Danielle Shvalboym: “Negligee”, “Bitter” and “One of Third (1/3)”. The latter was chosen for Short Film Corner of Cannes Film Festival in 2018. |
